Dawn Airey
Dawn Airey (Former MD, Sky Network)
Dawn Airey began her career as a management trainee at Central TV.
She quickly rose to become controller of programme planning, moving
on to ITV to be controller of children's and daytime programmes. In
1994 she joined Channel 4 to head arts and entertainment, acquiring
smash hits such as ER, Friends and Frasier from America. In 1995 Airey
was invited to join Channel Five. Despite its tiny budget, the station
had a huge impact and Airey took over as chief executive in 2000,
moving to Sky Networks in 2003. In October 2007 Airey joined ITV as Director of global content.
In May 2008 Airey left ITV to join Channel 5 as it's Chairman and CEO. On 11th August 2010 it was announced that Airey would leave Channel 5 to take up a senior post with RTL.
