Carolyn McCall

Carolyn McCall began her career as a history teacher at Holland Park School in London. She joined the Guardian in 1986 and rose quickly through the ranks, becoming chief executive of Guardian Newspapers in 2000 and at the same time joining the board of the Guardian Media Group, the parent company. She became chief executive of Guardian Media Group, in May 2006. In July 2010, Carolyn was appointed chief executive of budget airline group easyjet.
